KunHee Lee
I’m an experienced UI designer who has contributed to games loved by millions of players. Since 2015, I’ve worked as a game developer across a wide range of platforms and genres, always striving to find the balance between artistic expression and practical implementation. From mobile to PC, console, and next-generation multiplatform projects, I’ve been involved in the creation of functional UI art and systems, and I consider it both a privilege and a point of pride to have helped build games enjoyed by so many. Through this journey, I’ve gained hands-on knowledge across the full development cycle—from early production to long-term live service—and developed a strong foundation in real-world workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
Who am I
-
UI is not just about delivering information—it’s an art form that helps shape the atmosphere of a game. I believe UI can serve a functional role while also enhancing the fun of gameplay as a creative element. Centered on UI, I explore a range of visual expressions including motion, effects, graphic design, and 3D, growing into a flexible artist who can adapt across genres and styles.
-
Great artwork means little if it can’t be implemented—so I always strive to create designs that are both beautiful and buildable. I approach each project with technical curiosity, exploring ways to bridge the gap between art and development through hands-on experience with various engines and tools. Before I’m a game artist, I think like a developer—because I believe good design lives at the intersection of emotion and logic.
-
As a gamer, I understand how important clear, readable UI is to the overall experience. Player-centered thinking always leads to better decisions, and I draw from my own gaming experiences to design interfaces that are not only easy to read, but enjoyable to interact with.
-
As a member of any project team, I’m comfortable collaborating with professionals from various disciplines, including programmers and planners, and I genuinely enjoy the process of working together. I approach all feedback with an open mind, regardless of position or experience, and I value a culture of mutual learning and shared growth. I always strive to prioritize effectively and build trust naturally within the team.
-
I’m constantly learning and always looking for new directions to explore. Rather than staying within the boundaries of traditional UI, I’m passionate about creating fresh experiences with a broader perspective. I actively follow trends in the game industry and consistently study new tools and disciplines to expand my skills.
-
I don’t believe in building games with just words and numbers—I care about execution and what can actually be built. If “player-centered” is just a slogan, if “open feedback” disappears in front of seniority, or if “creativity” is only allowed within fixed boundaries, then that’s not the kind of project I want to be part of.
I want to work with teams that genuinely care about players, share ideas openly, and take responsibility from start to finish. The team doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters most is the shared desire to create games that bring real joy—and with people like that, I’m always ready to build together.
